Minister unaware of Google investment decisions

Coordinating Economic Minister Hatta Rajasa says he was unaware of plans by giant Internet company Google Inc. to build data centers in three Asian countries including Singapore, but not in Indonesia.
"I have not received direct information on that so I cannot comment yet," Hatta said Thursday as reported by kompas.com.
He added that he would inquire to the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) on the plans by Google Inc.
"I will ask Gita [Wiryawan, BKPM chief]," he said.
As reported on Wednesday, Google Inc. plans to build data centers in Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong, with investments of at least US$100 million in certain countries.
Earlier, Vice President Boediono had invited Google Inc. to establish a data center in Indonesia.
